About
Born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Victoria spent 23 years in Chippewa County before graduating from Lake Superior State University (LSSU) with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, minoring in French and Web Development. She later moved to the Lansing Area to pursue a degree with Michigan State University (MSU), left for a while to pursue vocational experience, and became a student again at MSU where she earned her Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) in December 2024.
She initially worked with technology as a contractor at Bay Mills Community College (BMCC), followed by a role as a Programmer Analyst with Kalamazoo Regional Education Service Agency (KRESA), and now serves as an IT Systems Engineer with BMCC. With over seven years of experience in web development, she’s committed to educational approaches that are student-centered and accessible. As a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community (BMIC), working for her Tribal Community College means having the opportunity to support students while revitalizing and preserving Anishinaabe culture and language. Her parents, Bucko Teeple and Michele Wellman-Teeple, are very involved in culture and language efforts within the Bay Mills (and greater Anishinaabe) community.
Victoria’s spouse, Austin, is a full-stack software developer, and they both enjoy working through the mechanics of encryption, among many other related subjects. In fact, Austin whipped up a Dungeons & Dragons inventory app when they first met for fun for her to use in a campaign with friends. They have talked a bit about developing software together but with work and school, finding time has been a challenge they hope to overcome soon.

Victoria is competitive and loves playing games in all formats, fields, and media. Currently playing through The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch and patiently waiting for her Dungeons & Dragons crew to be able to get back into session. This love for gaming translates into a passion for the mechanics of gameplay, a vested interest in User Experience (UX), and earnest, if haphazard, attachment to the Design Thinking Process.
She also enjoys cooking and baking. After watching a few educational videos on the benefits plant-based diets, she has explored ways to not only incorporate more vegetables into her diet but also how to leverage vegetarian and vegan dishes not so that they "replace" meat-based meals but so they're tasty and fulfilling in their own right. Her newest breakfast staple has been Tiramisu Overnight Oats from The Pioneer Woman.
